while surfing through the internet i found many people complaining that floppies are not working with windows 7 while working with xp and vista.
floppy is onlydesigned to work in os versions before xp .after the winXP the os developers did not find it useful to include floppy driver support with other os.the invention of usb drives have just overtaken the use of floppy. but still there are people who want to use floppy ,(for example to store small size documents and files etc)
